The Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission provides a spiritual based Discipleship Training Program designed to produce healthy and responsible Christian men whose choices in life are influenced by Jesus Christ. Men of integrity who are willing to make the right choices, even if these choices cost them something to make. The Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission does not use a secular approach to counseling, recovery, or relationships. The core belief of “NewLife” is: The only way to achieve real, lasting, and continual life transformation is through a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We make no apology for providing a Christ-centered and Bible-based approach to recovery.

Relocating Clare House and expanding services provides an increased number of transitional housing units for the growing population of homeless women with children and expectant mothers in Anchorage.

Charlie Elder House provides housing for homeless, teenage boys. At Charlie Elder House, boys learn to live independently, achieve academic success, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to the community. Charlie Elder House provides a therapeutic environment, case management services and counseling services in cooperation with Alaska Children's Services. 

Rights of Passage (ROP) is one of Covenant House Alaska’s (CHA) transitional living programs. It is designed to help homeless youth, ages 18 to 20, address the issues and responsibilities of adulthood, while receiving support and guidance from our staff and volunteer mentors in a residential setting. After graduating from the program, our hope is that youth will be prepared to lead successful, independent lives.

Passage House, which is located in a residential neighborhood on the east side of Anchorage, is Covenant House Alaska’s (CHA) transitional living program for young women who are pregnant or parenting. Our program provides young mothers and their children with a place to live for up to 18 months, while they gain the necessary skills and resources to become productive, successful, independent adults who can care for themselves and their families.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Program in Alaska provides housing, counseling, life skills education, spiritual development and work therapy for men who are struggling to overcome challenges and difficult circumstances resulting from the effect of substance abuse. This residential program is primarily funded from donations to and sales at Anchorage and Mat-Su Area Salvation Army Thrift stores.

Homeward Bound is a Housing First, self-paced alcohol management program for chronically homeless individuals that began in 1997. The Homeward Bound program is a 25-bed transitional living facility located in Mountain View which houses individuals interested in seeking a way out of homelessness.
