Our Transitional Shelter Program for homeless families combines housing with aggressive case management.  Families in transition participate in counseling with our Resident Services Coordinator  to secure the skills and resources needed to achieve eco-nomic independence and to secure and maintain sufficient employment and permanent housing.  Families may remain in the program for up to two years, if needed, but most stay for a year or less. Our transitional shelter families receive priority placement in our permanent Land Trust housing.

Open Arms Outreach is a non-profit (501(c)3), charitable, faith-based organization, based in Laconia, New Hampshire.Currently, there are two communities we are called to serve. First, is the assylees and refugees in Belknap County, New Hampshire. The second is the community of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, with special attention to orphaned children and families at risk.
