The Connection - Supportive Housing For Families
Middletown, CT - 06457

Supportive housing has been proven in national studies to effectively address chronic homelessness and save citizens money – by reducing or eliminating far more expensive alternatives, like hospitalizations, prison time, and shelter stays.  The Connection has known this for a long time.  We created the first supportive housing program in Connecticut – Liberty Commons, an award-winning site in Middletown – and have continued our tradition of innovation with Supportive Housing for Families, a statewide family reunification program that was the brainchild of Connection staff.  Knowing firsthand the success of supportive housing, we are active members of the Reaching Home campaign to build 10,000 units of supportive housing in Connecticut, and to end homelessness as we know it in our state.
