Details: Shelter of Flint's Transitional Housing program allows these clients to work on such goals over a long-term stay. The agency owns houses and an apartment complex available to clients as safe, affordable housing opportunities. This permits clients a significant level of independence while ensuring that their housing and life stabilization needs are effectively met. Clients are provided with case management, access to workshops and the pre-GED lab and employability development during this 24-month period. We also provide residents with access to other programs and services in the community that may assist in breaking down the barriers to permanent stability.
