Description:
Harbor House Transitional Housing is a state licensed chemical dependency program for single parent (mothers or fathers) homeless families seeking self-sufficiency. Harbor House provides an integrated environment that encourages confidence and independence through recovery, workforce development, education / skills enhancement, self sufficiency, and individual and family counseling. Harbor House staff is committed to sustaining families. Staff facilitates change within the families through a professional therapeutic process. Harbor House also offers employment guidance, job preparation, parenting class referrals, reunification court advocacy, and criminal justice court advocacy. Through partnerships, Harbor House is able to bridge the housing gap between primary chemical dependency programs, economic uncertainty, and single parent families in need; veterans, men, and women qualify for our services. Harbor House has a veterans program, again, with the same criteria as listed above, and is working with newly returned men and women, with children, who have served our country.
