Covenant House Michigan is a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides hope to homeless, runaway and at-risk youth ages 13-22. We provide shelter, educational and vocational programs, as well as other support services, to help overcome hurdles such as homelessness, unemployment, inadequate education, violence, drugs and gangs. Our goal is to redirect them onto a path toward meaningful and successful adulthood.CHM has come to be known by Detroit area young people as a place they can go to build a better future and be treated with respect and unconditional love. Over 54,785 youth have been served by CHM since its inception in September, 1997.

Transitional Housing Residents may stay up to two years while they address issues that contributed to their homelessness. While there, they are able to work towards stability, education and training, and find employment to meet their needs. A wide range of supportive services, including case management, education, mental health, employment and substance abuse aftercare services are available to help residents succeed. Follow-up is provided for up to six months after they leave to help them successfully overcome all obstacles to independence and stability.

At Vista Maria, we serve over 1,000 children every year who have been abused, neglected and traumatized.  They are confused, angry and scared.  Some are full of despair with little hope for a promising future.We help them to rebuild their lives through our full array of highly intensive programming, including female gender responsive treatment, to help address the tough issues faced by adolescent girls, ages 11 to 17. We also provide community-based services for emotionally challenged boys and girls, ages 6 to 17 in Michigan's foster care system.

Rights of Passage gives our youth a safe environment to continue to pursue their education and find a job while learning independent living skills such as time and money management and decision making. Every resident develops a life plan that outlines their goals and leads them towards successful independent living. They are assigned a counselor and mentor and receive individual and group counseling and medical care.

Transitional Housing:This is a temporary residency for men for up to 24 months while preparing them for independent living. Men in this program must be committed to being drug free. Supportive services include: case management, individual/group substance abuse treatment, job training and employment referrals, and housing referrals.Clients are referred from various sources, including churches, treatment programs, emergency shelters, and walk-in homeless. This program is funded by the City of Detroit

Opened in October, 2006, this inviting 55 unit, three-story housing community features one bedroom apartments for low-income seniors.  Sumby is situated in a residential neighborhood near senior centers, libraries, transportation, entertainment and diverse houses of worship. Transportation provided to beautiful, brand new shopping center just minutes away.  Sumby is named after the historic Sumby Hospital which was formerly located on this site and continues to be a beacon in the community.

Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, we offer high quality amenities with your comfort and enjoyment in mind.
