WestHELP Mount Vernon is a Permanent Housing facility for 46 families, located in South East of Mount Vernon, NY. This residence provides a broad range of services to formerly homeless families in effort to maintain independence. Additionally, the site provides support to the broader neighboring community through local providers

Broadway Manor:Newly-renovated historic building provides sixteen transitional and 10 permanent SRO-type rooms. Meals provided.

Travers House:Twenty-three one-bedroom shared apartments; fourteen transitional and thirty permanent beds for single individuals. New construction.

Westhab currently owns and/or manages 1,000 units of affordable housing in Westchester County and New York City, including: multi-family rental; homeownership; shelters for families and singles; and supportive housing for disabled veterans, seniors, homeless families, people in recovery from addiction, people living with mental illness, and victims of domestic violence. While our portfolio is largely comprised of Westhab-developed and owned housing, we also provide property and facilities management services for affordable housing developed and owned by for-profits and by other non-profit companies. We have a long history of maintaining quality properties that are well integrated with their surroundings and we make every effort to be a responsive landlord and neighbor.

Fessenden House provides a home for men who have nowhere else to turn.Our residents are men recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction who are also dealing with other serious problems, such as mental illness, life-threatening medical conditions, and long periods of homelessness or incarceration. Men are referred to Fessenden House from inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation programs in the area. At Fessenden House, they find a sober, disciplined, safe, and loving home dedicated to their recovery.

YWCA of Yonkers continues to respond to women’s housing needs and has become a place of refuge and restoration that nurtures women’s spirit, gives them support and helps them and their families grow strong again, a place where they can find the hope they have lost when their strength has been tested.

Westhab has produced 2,000 units of affordable housing in Westchester County, including: multi-family rental; affordable homeownership; family and singles shelter; and supportive housing for disabled veterans, people in recovery from addiction, people living with mental illness and victims of domestic violence. In the last 10 years, we have completed 13 developments representing over 260 affordable units and more than $43 million worth of housing funds. We currently have a project pipeline of 300 units. Shelter Plus Care (S+C) Through the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health's Shelter Plus Care Family and Single Adult Programs, Westhab provides up to five years of subsidized housing (with assistance in obtaining other, long-term housing subsidies) as well as case management and life-skills assistance.
