Details: The Family Transitional Shelter was developed in response to the growing need of a program to assist families who are in limbo due to socio and economic hardship. Parents are without shelter for themselves and their children, and many times have lost a job as well. A case manager helps families develop a goal-oriented program that allows them to attain skills in money management, parents and budgeting. Education is stressed and many of the clients return to school to get their high school diploma and/or enroll in the local community college. With guidance from the case manager and commitment from families, their lives become stable and can move forward towards a happy, productive future full of promise.
